LELAND — Santa’s making a late change in his schedule this week, and the town of Leland wants to make sure everyone is made aware.
Leland’s annual tree lighting ceremony is being moved from Thursday, Dec. 1, to Sunday Nov. 27. Part of the ceremony, of course, is a visit from St. Nick himself. The event is still on, and still free, but with a new date, according to the Leland’s Recreation Department.
Mrs. Claus will now light the town’s Christmas tree on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature holiday tunes and caroling, refreshments, Mr. and Mrs. Claus and more. The event takes place at 102 Town Hall Drive.
