Police need help identifying suspect who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of lawn equipment

WILMINGTON — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man suspected of breaking into Honest Engine off Kerr Avenue twice in November.

According to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay, a black male suspect broke into the Honest Engine at 39 S Kerr Ave., first on Nov. 5 and again on Nov. 9.

The suspect smashed the front glass with a rock at about midnight Nov. 5, entered the store and took a few thousand dollars worth of lawn care equipment, Lindsay said. The same suspect did it again at 11:15 p.m. Nov. 9, and took more equipment from the store.
