City of Wilmington

17th Street – periodic closures as work has begun on a streetscape project between Wrightsville Avenue and Dock Street and Princess Place and Grace Street. No on-street parking will be allowed between Market and Grace Streets during some days to minimize nighttime construction. The $1.3 million project is expected to take about a year to complete.

Randall Parkway – possible periodic closures near Kerr Avenue for road widening and construction of the Cross-City Trail.

Water Street – closed to vehicular traffic between Princess and Dock streets for the Water Street and Riverfront Park redevelopment project. Pedestrian access remains.

New Hanover County

Cinema Drive — closed at the intersection with Kerr Avenue until Monday, Oct. 24 as a 54-inch storm drainage system is installed. The work is part of the Kerr Avenue Widening Project. Kerr Avenue will remain open in both directions.

Fredrickson Road – closed permanently in both directions near SR 2145 due to construction of the Wilmington Bypass.

Carolina Beach Road – nighttime construction between NC 132 (College Road) and Snow’s Cut Bridge until May 2017 for grading, drainage and paving work as well as the installation of signals.

Brunswick County

River Road/Village Road – periodic lane closures for nighttime construction until November 15.

Cedar Hill Road – closed until Sept. 2017 so a structure can be built over Cartwheel Branch, utilities can be installed and other road work can be done in conjunction with the construction of Interstate 140 from Andrew Jackson Highway to Cedar Hill Road

Blackwell Road, US 17 (Ocean Highway) and US 74 (Andrew Jackson Highway) – periodic lane closures for widening of US 17/74/76 from River Road/Village Road to the US 421/NC 133 interchange west of Wilmington.
