The following government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of the Labor Day holiday:
City of Wilmington
All city offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5.
Trash service will run on a regular schedule. City customers who normally have their trash and yard waste picked up on Mondays are asked to have all items curbside by 7:30 a.m. City recycling customers who are on the blue schedule and normally have their recycling collected on Monday should place their recycling containers curbside by 7:30 a.m. Monday. The recycling schedule can be found here.
Wilmington City Council is scheduled to have its regular meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at City Hall located at 102 N. Third St.
New Hanover County
All New Hanover County offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5. The New Hanover County Commissioners regular meeting has been moved from Monday afternoon to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Historic Courthouse located at 24 N. Third St.
The New Hanover County landfill will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
The towns offices of Carolina, Kure and Wrightsville Beach will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Brunswick County
All Brunswick County government offices will be closed Monday. The solid waste office, convenient centers and county landfill area also closed. Curbside garbage and trash collection will operate on a regular schedule.
Pender County
All Pender County government offices are closed Monday.
