Back-to-school shopping for a cause at CIS Brunswick County thrift shops

BRUNSWICK COUNTY – Still looking to do some back-to-school shopping? Communities in Schools of Brunswick County is offering deals at the four thrift stores they run in Leland, Southport, Boiling Spring Lakes and Sunset Beach.

According to a release, clothing is the most popular thing found in the shops, making it a good place to hunt for inexpensive back-to-school fashion.

“CIS thrift shops have racks of brand new and gently used boys’, girls’, and children’s clothing,” the release said. “Designer labels are easy to find at discounted prices.”

Accessories and school supplies can also be found at low prices. For young athletes, sporting equipment such as tennis rackets, duffle bags and gloves of all kinds are available for just a few dollars.

All the money raised from sales at the shops go to CIS Brunswick County, which helps students in need by providing resources such as basic supplies, tutoring and other things they need to stay in school and excel.
