
BOILING SPRING LAKES – Police in Boiling Spring Lakes are looking for a 26-year-old man they say stole a car and kidnapped a toddler outside Olde Brunswick Store on Thursday.
According to Boiling Spring Lakes police, Joshua Brandon Miller was a passenger in a 2016 black Toyota Corolla when the driver stopped and entered a store at the intersection of Fifty Lakes Drive and N.C. 133. Miller then drove off with a 3-year-old in the back seat, police said.
Miller did stop the car to leave the baby in the roadway before driving off, police said. The baby was unharmed and returned to her mother. The incident happened around 4 p.m.
Police describe Miller as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, and as having brown hair and brown eyes.
The car Miller allegedly left the scene in is a black, 2016 four-door Toyota Corolla with North Carolina License Plate number EBK-8338.
Miller is wanted for kidnapping and larceny of a motor vehicle. He is last known to live in the Winnabow area.
