
Wilmington police are investigating a robbery at a credit union at the intersection of Oleander Drive and Independence Boulevard.
The robbery was reported at Sharonview Federal Credit Union, 3212 Oleander Drive, at 2:35 p.m., according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.
The suspect entered the bank carrying a black cloth drawstring bag and demanded money, Lindsay said. He ran out of the bank’s back door with cash in the bag.

It is unknown at this time if the suspect carried a weapon, Lindsay said. The suspect is described as a white male who is believed to be in his late 30s or 40s. He wore a blue baseball cap, blue long-sleeve shirt and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
