The 4th Annual Taste of Wrightsville Beach, presented by the Wrightsville Beach Foundation and Jeff Gordon Chevrolet, will be this Saturday, Oct. 10.
The event, which will be held at MarineMax from 5 to 8 p.m., will celebrate the diverse food offerings on and around the island. There will be over 30 local food, beer and wine tasting booths, and judges will vote for their favorite meals in the categories of “Best Savory Dish,” “Best Sweet Dish” and “Best Overall Dish.” Event goers can also cast their votes for the “People’s Choice” award.
General admission tickets cost $75 if purchased before midnight on Friday, Oct. 9 and $100 if bought after that time. For Wrightsville Beach Foundation members, tickets are $60, and for Town of Wrightsville Beach employees and anyone under 21 years of age, they are $25.
Net proceeds from the event will go toward the New Hanover County Meals on Wheels program, the Cape Fear Community College Pineapple Guild Club, Wrightsville Beach Park Amenities and Programs and Wrightsville Beach Beautification Projects.
