
A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in Carolina Beach.
Jonathan David Lashin, 26, was arrested on Sigmon Road in Wilmington at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Carolina Beach Police Detective S.T. Hettinger.
Lashin was wanted in connection with an armed robbery at Subway, 700 N. Lake Park Blvd., in Carolina Beach at about 8:40 p.m. Monday, Hettinger said. The suspect reportedly wielded a knife and demanded money from employees. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed south from the store’s location.

Lashin has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to jail records. He was booked at the New Hanover County jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
According to the N.C. Department of Corrections, Lashin was previously convicted of felony larceny in Onslow County on June 15. He was given a suspended sentence and was placed on a 24-month probation. He has been convicted of four counts of misdemeanor larceny in New Hanover County.
