College Acres Drive will be closed just west of its intersection with Racine Drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly beginning Monday.
According to a notice from the city of Wilmington, the road will be closed until Aug. 14 so that crews can replace two drainage pipes and repave College Acres Drive between Racine Drive and South College Road. In addition, Racine Drive will be paved from College Acres Drive to Randall Drive. During the repaving portion of the project, the intersection of Racine and College Acres drives will be fully closed.
During the closure, those wishing to access homes or businesses on College Acres Drive between Racine Drive and South College Road will have to use South College Road. Those who live east of the Racine/College Acres intersection should use Oriole Drive. Additionally, those who live on Racine Drive north of the intersection will need to use New Centre or Oriole drives to access their residences.
