A man was robbed a gunpoint early Tuesday morning on Flint Drive.
A man was walking home on Physicians Drive just after midnight when he noticed a white Chevrolet Suburban following him, Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Linda Rawley said.
The vehicle reportedly passed the victim, then parked on Flint Drive. A passenger got out of the vehicle and approached the victim. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and told him to drop everything and give him what he had,which the victim responded was “only a few dollars.”
The suspect then “cocked the gun and pushed it into the victim’s chest,” Rawley said. The victim took out his money and threw it on the ground.m The suspect took the cash and got back into the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen headed west on Wellington Avenue, Rawley said.
The suspect is described as a black man who is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 155 pounds. He has a skinny build, small mustache and a small mole on the left side of his the face under his nose. He wore a white T-shirt, jeans and a black hat during the robbery.
The investigation is ongoing, Rawley said.
