Brunswick County Veteran Services has invited all area veterans to a health fair planned for Friday, Oct. 5, in Southport.
Scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Brunswick Center, 1513 N. Howe St., the fair will give veterans the chance to enroll in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs‘ (VA) healthcare program, learn about and discuss health issues with VA personnel, and meet with Brunswick County’s veteran-services officer.
Veterans interested in applying for VA healthcare should bring their discharge papers and information on income and net worth, the announcement said.
