Members of the Brunswick County and New Hanover County boards of education will meet this Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The New Hanover County Board of Education will have its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the board of education center on 13th Street in Wilmington.
In Brunswick County, board members will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in county commissioners’ chambers at the county complex in Bolivia.
The New Hanover County Board of Education agenda includes the recognition of 2103 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists and the 2012 Young Artists competition winner. For information, board members will consider several policies for a first reading. New business includes North Carolina School Boards Association voting delegates, a math software resolution and surplus property.
The Brunswick County Board of Education agenda includes an annual presentation by Communities in Schools, consent approval for several policy matters, a lottery application for a new roof at Leland Middle School and approval for a contract to install metal roofing at Lincoln Elementary School.
