Body of man who jumped in the Cape Fear recovered

WILMINGTON — According to the Wilmington Police Department, a man who jumped into the Cape Fear River Mar. 29, 2022 has been found.

The body was located Saturday, Apr. 9, at 9:45 a.m. in a rocky area near North Carolina State Ports. A release from WPD noted its criminal investigation division is attempting to identify the male victim.

The investigation is ongoing and WPD will release more information as it becomes available.
