Monday, Sept. 22
The Wilmington City Council will hold an agenda review at 8:30 a.m.. in city hall, 929 N. Front St. Meetings are livestreamed here.
The UNCW Board of Trustees will meet a 10 a.m. in the Fisher University Union Azalea Coast Room 2001, 601 S. College Road. The agenda includes:

- BOT Resolution Expressing UNCW’s Support for Pedestrian Bridge Project
Leland Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Leland Cultural Arts Center. The agenda includes appropriating $1,543,108 to the Sturgeon Creek Park Capital Project Fund, adopting updates to the town manager’s purchasing power, and extending corporate limits through a voluntary annexation request (read more about Jackeys Creek here).
Tuesday, Sept. 23

- Ordinance Amending the FY26 Adopted Authorized Strength in the General Fund to Support a Social Worker Co-Responder Model

Southport Board of Adjustment meets at 4:30 p.m. at 113 W. Moore St. The agenda includes a request to modify a special use permit, to increase square footage of second-floor residence and move the staircase.
The Leland Planning Board meets at Leland Fire Station 51 at 6 p.m. The agenda includes a staff-initiated text amendment to the town’s code, particularly its FlexCode.
The Brunswick County Board of Education will hold committee meetings starting at 9 a.m. in the Brunswick County Schools Administrative Offices located at 35 Referendum Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a public meeting, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., at the Navassa Community Center in Navassa to present the proposed cleanup plan for the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp-Navassa Superfund site. A 30-day public comment period for the proposed plan will open on Friday, Sept. 12. The plan proposes to clean up 12 acres of contamination at operable unit 4 North, allowing for non-residential or residential reuse of the property while protecting human health and the environment. The proposed remedy involves excavating contaminated surface soil and putting restrictions in place to manage the remaining subsurface soil that poses an unacceptable risk for construction workers. The remedy includes both off-site and capped on-side disposal of the contaminated surface soil, backfilling the areas with clean soil and restoring the site. Wednesday, Sept. 24
The Topsail Beach Planning Board will meet at 10 a.m. at 820 South Anderson Boulevard. The agenda includes a text amendment to change size and color requirements for address numbers.
The WMPO Board will meet at 3 p.m. at 525 N. Front St. The board’s alternative funding subcommittee will meet before that at 2 p.m. The meeting will be livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

Thursday, Sept. 25
Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority will meet at 12:30 p.m. at Forden Station, 505 Cando St. An agenda was not posted by press but the public is welcome to attend.
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Long Range Planning Committee will meet at 3 p.m. in the Jordan Conference Room, 235 Government Center Dr. The agenda includes information regarding the Southside WWTP Replacement and Capacity Upgrade and an action item to modernize facility names by replacing “Wastewater Treatment Plant” with “Water Reclamation Facility.”
The CFCC Board of Trustees will meet at 5 p.m. in Union Station, 502 N. Front St. No agenda was posted by press.
The New Hanover County Commissioners will hold an agenda review at 4 p.m. in the NHC Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here.
