LELAND — As part of its one-year anniversary opening in Leland, North Carolina, Al’s Burger Shack has donated $1,500 to Town Creek Elementary School in Leland.

Owner Jason Kesler presented the check to Town Creek’s assistant principals Jennifer Faircloth and Randy Rutledge in recognition of the school’s dedicated staff and students.

“This community has supported us from day one, and we wanted to make sure we gave something meaningful back,” Kesler said in a release. “Investing in our local schools and the kids in this community just feels right. We’re proud to be a part of Leland and we look forward to doing this for years to come.”

Al’s Burger Shack first opened in Chapel Hill in 2013 and has taken numerous Best Burger accolades, as well as been featured in Southern Living magazine and Fast Food Club. A location opened in Leland Town Center in fall 2024.

“We’re grateful for every customer who walked through our doors this past year,” Kesler added. “This fundraiser is a reflection of their generosity as much as ours.”
