WILMINGTON — On Thursday, Oct. 29, United Way of the Cape Fear Area will be hosting a celebration called “Generations of Generosity” at Aloft Hotel to honor their 85th year of operation, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will highlight the contributions made by decades of supporters.
United Way of the Cape Fear Area is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives in the Cape Fear region through collaborative efforts, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. The group strives to have a community where all people are healthy, safe, and prosperous.
This will be the third annual fundraising event for the organization. The past two events had nearly 200 guests and raised over $50,000 to support critical programs across the region.
The event will have opportunities for guests such as participating in raffle baskets which feature goods from local small businesses, listening to guest speakers, watching a video highlighting the celebration of the organization, and using a photo booth.
100% of the proceeds go to charity and their community programs.
Tickets are $50 and can be bought here.
