WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Junior Seahawks are inviting families, friends and community members of all ages to lace up their skates for Junior Seahawks Night at Polar Ice Wilmington on Saturday, Aug. 29.
The fundraiser event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is open to the entire community, and no hockey experience or affiliation with the Junior Seahawks is necessary.
Admission is $10 when purchased in advance or $15 at the door. Skate rental, if needed, is
available for $5.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wilmington Junior Seahawks youth hockey program
and help the nonprofit organization offset the significant travel expenses associated with
providing competitive hockey opportunities for local players.
The Wilmington Junior Seahawks provide local youth athletes with opportunities to develop their
skills and compete in travel hockey throughout the region and beyond. Fundraising events such
as Junior Seahawks Night help the organization reduce costs associated with travel and provide
families with greater access to competitive youth hockey.
