BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Brunswick County Extension Master Gardener volunteers will host two Pollinator Plus workshops this month, as part of the 2026 Great Southeast Pollinator Census.
Sessions will be offered on Friday, Aug. 21, at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Brunswick County Extension Office.
Participants will learn about pollinators and the plants that support them before joining master gardener volunteers in the Demonstration Garden to collect data for the regional census. Organizers said observations will help scientists monitor pollinator populations, identify trends and develop conservation strategies.
Registration costs $40 and includes six pollinator-friendly plants, including drought-tolerant black-eyed Susans, blanket flowers and coneflowers. Additional plants will be available for $5 each, payable by cash or check.
Proceeds will support Cooperative Extension outreach programs. Tickets are now on sale and interest parties can register here.
