
SURF CITY – The North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting for the proposed improvements at NC Highway 210, NC Highway 50/NC Highway 210 and Belt Road intersection in Pender County on Monday, March 2.
Proposed improvements include the addition of turning lanes, a median and a traffic signal to improve southbound and northbound traffic flow. This project aims to enhance regional mobility while expanding infrastructure capacity.
The public meeting is scheduled for March 2, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Surf City Town Hall, 214 W. Florence Way.
The public may attend at any time during the above hours, as no formal presentation will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available during the open house to answer questions and receive comments regarding the proposed project.
Project details and maps can be found at the NCDOT public input webpage.The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be submitted via phone, email or at NCDOT’s public input portal by March 23. NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for people who wish to participate in this workshop.
