The Riverfront Park tree lighting will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, 6 p.m. It’s Wilmington’s second holiday tree lighting (the first took place on Black Friday, at the foot of Market and Water streets), and will include a performance from students of the Williston Middle School choir. Afterward, there will be a reading of “Twas The Night Before Christmas,” light refreshments, face-painting and visits with Santa.

On Sunday, Dec. 7, the annual Wilmington Holiday Parade begins along Front Street at 6 p.m. All on street parking will be free during the parade; expect traffic delays.
