
WILMINGTON — Permanently moored among 55 acres of Eagles Island wildlands, the Battleship North Carolina will be open this holiday to serve visitors and locals with family in town for Thanksgiving. Operating hours are Thursday, Nov. 27, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Battleship is the hallmark destination for downtown visitors, offering an immersive experience of what life at sea was like during World War II. It also offers prominent views of the Cape Fear River and downtown,
“We love welcoming visitors on Thanksgiving,” director Jay Martin said in a release. “For many families, a visit to the Battleship has become part of their holiday tradition. It’s a meaningful way to connect with history and spend time together.”
The Battleship Gift Shop will be open, featuring unique holiday gifts ideas, including Wilmington-themed memorabilia.
The last ticket will be sold at 4 p.m.; purchase is available on site or in advance here.
