Founders Park closing for a year as construction gets underway

LELAND — Founders Park is going to close to the public to undergo new construction, expected to take roughly a year.

Fencing will enclose the park starting Monday, Dec. 11. The walking trails, open space, and parking lot will not be accessible to the public and will remain closed throughout the duration of the project.

The park will have a new amphitheater, splash pad, and veterans memorial, as well as updated playground, walking trails, picnic shelters, and restrooms.

The overall site plan can be accessed here.
