Town of CB asking residents for feedback ahead of upcoming budget

CAROLINA BEACH — Ahead of budgetary discussions that will will begin across local governments and municipalities for the 2023 and 2024 year, one beach town is asking area residents for input on how they would like to see town revenues used.

Carolina Beach has released a survey of 15 or so questions. It asks surveyors to rank the importance of community services — water/sewer infrastructure, stormwater management, green space and parks, fire/police, etc. It also gives them a say in how they would like to see town revenues raised: increased property taxes, increased parking fees, increased services fees, or reduced town services.

It also asks optional demographic questions, including gender, age, whether one rents or owns and is employed.

The survey, open through Jan. 11, states input will show “how taxpayers prioritize needs and issues in Carolina Beach” and shape its financial plan. To take the survey, click here.
