- No. 6 New Hanover 66 No. 24 Middle Creek 55
Three players finished in double figures for New Hanover on Tuesday night as the Wildcats rolled 66-55 past Middle Creek.

Ramello Williams and Hayden Edgar each recorded a double-double in the win. Williams had 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting to go along with 16 rebounds. Edgar added 15 points and pulled down 10 boards. He went 9-for-10 from the free throw line.
Josh Aldrich chipped in with 10 points as New Hanover went 47 percent from the field.

With a five point lead headed in the fourth quarter, Hoggard was outscored 22-12 in the final frame to suffer a 51-46 season ending setback.
Apex’s Colton Moore hit five shots from long range to lead all scorers with 15 points. Eric Fox and Denzel Jacobson added 13 points apiece in the win.
Tyler Steinman paced Hoggard with 11 points. He had three treys in the game.

- No. 4 West Brunswick 70 No. 29 Western Harnett 59
The Trojans found themselves down by 12 points moving into the fourth quarter and responded over the final eight minutes of regulation as West Brunswick defeated Western Harnett, 70-59, in Shallotte.
Trailing, 51-39 after three quarters of play, the Trojans made it a two possession game midway through the final period and gained the lead for good with three minutes left. Brandyn Parker scored 12 of his game-high 24 points in the decisive frame.
Josh Woodard added 15 points and Rasheed Daniels had score nine of 11 points during the fourth quarter push. West Brunswick outscored Western Harnett 31-8 in the final eight minutes of regulation.
Girls basketball

4A playoffs
- No. 4 New Hanover 51 No. 28 Riverside 34
Amani Muhammad and Amya Marshall scored 12 points a piece for the Wildcats. New Hanover shot just 33 percent from the field, but went 11-for-16 from the free throw line. Kaleigh Merrell contributed nine points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Lola Lovitt scored a team-high 12 points, while Angel Smith recorded a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds to lead Hoggard in the opening round of the 4A playoffs.
