The latest edition of the New Hanover County Schools TV produced show ‘Sports Roundtable’ airs at 8 p.m. on Wednesday on Time Warner Cable Channel 5 and Charter Cable Channel 191. Port City Daily’s Joe Cats talks x’s and o’s with the four high school football coaches in Wilmington as they go over video highlights from last week’s games.
New Hanover defeated Laney 21-20 on Thursday to improve to 2-0 in conference and snapped the Bucs four-game winning streak. Ashley let an early lead slip away in a 28-24 setback, while Hoggard had the week off.
Cats also broadcast a behind the scenes look of the show via Facebook LIVE, with Aaron Oliver of New Hanover County Schools talking about the shows 17-year run as the longest local sports broadcast in the area. Look for the live feed below.
With the off week, Hoggard senior Patrick Morrison and Keon Bradley joined Cats on set to talk about the Vikings mindset heading into a matchup at Laney on Friday, Oct. 14.
