Online registration is now under way for the Third Annual Wilmington Color Me Rad 5K scheduled for Sunday, April 3 on the UNCW campus.
Sponsored by UNCW Athletics, the event raises funds to support student-athlete scholarships for deserving student-athletes.
Participants can get 10 percent off registration by using the code “UNCW” and UNCW students will be able to use their campus ID number to receive a special student discount in the coming weeks. Click here to register online.
Color Me Rad events are staged each year in more than 100 cities across North America. Every 15-20 minutes, participants are doused with color bombs and, no surprise, teal will be the featured color in the April event.
This year’s race will feature color bombs at eight different stations – an increase from five one year ago – on the UNCW campus. The course will offer challenges and dares throughout the race, along with a slime station and gel drop at the finish line.
The mission of the Seahawk Club is to strengthen and develop UNCW’s athletic programs by raising funds for student-athlete scholarships and athletic facilities. Each participant will receive a kit that includes a cell phone protector and other items to remember the day.
