Josh Chapman and Duenis Ariolla both found the back of the net in a 2-1 result for Ashley. Chapman raised his goal total with four scores on the year, while Ariolla finished his second tally of the season for the Screaming Eagles.
Ashley is 3-0 in non-conference play and face Cape Fear Academy on Thursday.

New Hanover got back in the win column with an emphatic 7-0 result over East Bladen at Legion Stadium on Wednesday. Jack Kiernan led the way with two goals and Foster Willis recorded two assists for the Wildcats, who moved to 3-2 overall.

After dropping the opening set Ashley rallied to pick up a 3-1 win over Trask. Kaycie Dotson served seven aces and Haley France finished with 12 kills as the Screaming Eagles moved to 2-0 overall under first-year coach Carly Noble.
