West Brunswick extended its win streak to 10 straight games and moved to 3-0 in conference with a 57-42 win over South Brunswick on Thursday.
Gray Cheers scored a game-high 19 points for the Trojans and Saadiq Johnson chipped in with 10 points. The Trojans carried an eight-point lead into the second quarter, but the Cougars cut the deficit to six at the half before West Brunswick outscored the home team 21-10 over the next eight minutes to put the game away.
South Brunswick fell to 0-4 in league play and 1-9 overall. Both teams return to the floor on Dec. 31 at the Cape Fear Academy Holiday Classic.

Jack Bagley scored 15 points to lead Hoggard to its six straight win in a 66-52 non-conference victory over Pamlico County on Thursday. The Vikings moved to 7-1 overall and remain 2-0 in conference.
