New Hanover 3 Ashley 2 (OT)

New Hanover picked up a 3-2 win in overtime at Ashley on Tuesday to remain unbeaten in conference.
Franco Fernandez and Foster Willis each tallied for the Wildcats, while Ian Bennett picked up an assist. Max Johnson had five saves in goal.
The Wildcats moved to 6-0 in league play atop the conference standings and 12-4 overall. Ashley fell to 4-2 in conference and 6-6-2 overall. New Hanover plays at Laney on Thursday, while Ashley faces Hoggard.
Laney 5 Topsail 1
Tristan Nelson tallied and Jackson Young had three assists to lift Laney past Topsail 5-1 on Tuesday. Shane Powers had two saves in goal for the Bucs.
Laney (4-2, 12-3-1) entertains New Hanover in a key Mideastern Conference match on Thursday.
Coastal Christian 5 Parrott Academy 2
Coastal Christian built a two-goal lead at the half and put the match away in the final 40 minutes of action as the Centurions cruised 5-2 over Parrott Academy.
Senior Richard Wetherill and sophomore Josh Chapman both had two goals apiece and Douglas McKinney found the back of the net.
Freshman Matt Ward recorded two assists and Hunter Mintz had seven saves in goal.
Coastal improved to 14-3 overall record and 5-1 in conference heading into Thursday’s game at Fayetteville Academy.

Laney moved to second place in conference with a 3-1 win over Topsail and a season sweep of the Pirates.
The Bucs improved to 5-4 in league play, while Topsail fell to 5-4.

South Brunswick surrendered a two set advantage as West Brunswick came storming back to level the match, but the Cougars hung tough and pulled out the fifth set 15-10 to pick up a 3-2 win on Tuesday
Cali Watson put in an all-around effort with 13 kills and four aces, while Rexi-Lee Harris recorded 25 assists. Kelsi Kazmierzach also added10 kills in the victory for South Brunswick, who moved to 5-4 in conference and 11-4 overall.

North Brunswick 3 Southwest Onslow 0

Jenna Dunsmore recorded two aces and finished with 16 kills on 25 attempts as North Brunswick pulled out a 3-0 win over Southwest Onslow on Tuesday night.
“We needed this conference win and the girls worked hard tonight to get it,” said North Brunswick coach Morgan Farroll. “We let Southwest come back during the second set, but finished strong in extra points.
The Lady Scorpions set the tone early in the first and third set and never looked back. Southwest Onslow responded in the second with a few good runs to take a 25-24 advantage, but Macey Bordeaux had two aces from the service line to take a 2-0 advantage heading into the final set.
“I’m very proud of how they played and we need to keep this momentum going in the last few weeks of conference,” said Farroll.
Skylar Watson had 16 assists for North Brunswick, while Kaylee Scoggins recorded 27 digs.
