
SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — The springtime celebration that brings families together and has kids hopped up on a sugar rush isn’t complete without a feast.

There are numerous area restaurants open for the Easter holiday, which is Sunday, March 31. Brunch, lunch and dinner menus are plentiful, some requiring reservations, others accepting walk-ins.

Beau Rivage Golf Resort

The golf club on the southern end of the county will have two seatings for its Easter brunch buffet Sunday: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. A buffet will be served with traditional favorites — glazed ham, mac and cheese, potato salad, deviled eggs and carrot cake.
Plus, there will be bourbon salmon, French cut pork chops, candied yams, spring vegetables and plenty of appetizers and desserts.
Bluewater

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday, Bluwater Waterfront Grill will welcome diners to enjoy its Easter buffet.
It will be stocked with rosemary-encrusted pork loin, Hoisin baked salmon, honey glazed ham, garlic mash, mac and cheese, as well as breakfast items like Tres Leches French toast, an egg scramble, bacon and hashbowns.
Assorted cakes, cookies, pastries and more will be offered.
Blockade Runner

The Blockade Runner Resort will appeal to every wallet on Easter Sunday with its varied individually priced menu. There are soups and salads ($9-$24) and sandwiches aplenty ($14-$16). Entrees consist of both breakfast and lunch items, from skillet hash ($18) to a frittata ($14), chicken milanese ($16) to lamb chops ($35).

There will be various stations set up for diners to indulge, featuring both brunch and lunch items. The breakfast station, for example, includes Western omelet, cream cheese-stuffed French toast, and hashrbown bake.
There is also a soup and salad station, carving station, seafood station and dessert station. Various items include prime rib and baked ham, smoke trout and red snapper ceviche, as well as mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and steamed green beans.
Alongside homemade donuts will be various pastries, cakes and cookies.
Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery

An hour west of Wilmington, Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery is having a full day of Easter celebrations, including an egg hunt and Easter bunny visit, with plenty of outdoor games — relay race, bunny hop, egg and spoon race.
After the fun and games, there will be a buffet, featuring ham, chicken and pastry, country vegetables, banana pudding, and more.
Tickets are $12.95 for kids and $24.95 for adults and should be reserved from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. here.
Carolina BBQ and Seafood

One of Wilmington’s favorite country buffets will open for Easter Sunday and feature more than 30 items. There also will be crafts and games.
Junction 421

In Monkey Junction, the family-friendly eatery Junction 421 will have a special Easter menu with varied starters, entrees and desserts, ranging in price from $6 to $28.
Fun starters include coconut shrimp or crab dip, pimento cheese dip or deviled eggs, with entrees in both breakfast and lunch served. Bananas Foster French toast ($20) or short ribs and grits ($25), glazed ham ($21) or leg of lamb ($26) is on the menu.
Desserts ($8) consist of strawberry shortcake, lemon pie or coconut cheesecake.

Kornerstone Bistro

Wilmington’s Italian restaurant located in the northern part of the county will have a brunch buffet from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday.
A variety of items will be offered, including carved leg of lamb, ham, shrimp and grits, chicken marsala and mac and cheese.
Breakfast items such as smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, French toast, biscuits and gravy, grits, plus desserts including cannolis, cookies, cakes and more are served.
It’s $34.95 for adults and $14.95 for kids 10 and under.

Little Dipper Fondue

Three-course fondue: $32/person
The Little Dipper will host an Easter fondue brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 31.
It will be $32 a person for three courses, starting off with a cheese fondue of bacon, spinach and Swiss with a poached egg, served with cooked sausage links, bagel pieces, ham and diced potatoes.
Next up will be choice of soup or salad, followed by a dessert fondue, with choice from one of a dozen options, including chocolate, turtle, s’mores, berry white and even vegan chocolate.
Michael’s Seafood

Individual special pricing: $12-$42
This Pleasure Island seafood restaurant has both brunch and dinner options for diners, with prices ranging from $12 to $42.
Brunch includes options like shrimp and crab quiche, crab cakes Benedict, bananas Foster Belgian waffle and smoked salmon bagel, while dinner will be a bit more fanciful with stuffed salmon Florentine, lamb chops or beef Wellington.
The specialty menus are available on both Saturday and Sunday, with brunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Sailfish

Located in Scotts Hill, The Sailfish has become a popular waterfront restaurant, which will offer a few Easter specials from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 31.
There will be a smoked turkey hash, featuring burnt ends of the turkey, piled with potatoes and onion and other goodies. Salmon cake Benedict, shrimp-n-grits and multiple melts — tuna or chicken — also are offered.
Savor Southern Kitchen

A buffet will be served on Carolina Beach Road at Savor Southern Kitchen from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday.
Sweet and savory dishes for breakfast and lunch are featured, including smoked salmon and roasted lamb with cabernet mushrooms, plus glazed ham and corned beef hash.
There will be a spring veggie frittata, sweet potato and buttermilk biscuits, chicken and waffles, pecan praline French toast, shrimp and grits and more.
Prices include coffee, tea, soda and juice.
Second Glass

Mimosa flights, jalapeno Paloma, surf and turf Bloody Marys — and those are only the drinks offered at The Second Glass for brunch.
Open Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., South Front District’s The Second Glass turns up regular biscuits and gravy into gourmet delicacies, with the rich addition of duck fat and sausage gravy. Egg specialties, an omelette and Benedict, change weekly and for lunch lovers there’s a burger with pimento cheese and duck fat mayo and of course shrimp and grits

Sweet n Savory

Family style: $35 a person
A Southern family-style meal will be served at Sweet n Savory from noon to 5 p.m. Rosemary leg of lamb, buttermilk friend chicken, and bourbon-and-brown-sugar-glazed ham make up the proteins. They’ll be served with collards, Southern potato salad, mac and cheese, glazed carrot and more.
The sweet finish will come with sweet potato bread pudding.
