HAMPSTEAD — As winter moves into its final countdown — 49 more days until spring — the Pender County Parks and Recreation are giving residents a reason to get excited for warmer temps.
The 2023 Hampstead Alive After Five concert series announced its lineup this year. Four free concerts take place from May through July.
• May 19: Carl Newton’s Review (R&B, funk, soul, Motown)
• June 9: Chocolate Chip and Company (R&B, soul, funk, classic rock)
• June 30: North Tower Band (disco, funk, rock)
• July 21: Heartstop (Modern rock, classic rock, blues, country)
The music begins at 6:30 p.m. and are held at Hampstead Kiwanis Park, 586 Sloop Point Loop Rd. Attendees can bring blankets and chairs, and there will be food trucks on site.
Alcohol and pets are prohibited.
