Applications open for artist grant from Arts Council of Wilmington and NHC

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County is seeking applicants for 2026-2027 Artist Support Grant.

The Artist Support Grant provides artists with funding for projects that will have a significant impact on the advancement of their careers, available to professionals of all disciplines. Awardees may receive funding between $500 and $1,000.

The program is managed through a partnership between the Arts Council of Wilmington & New Hanover County, the Brunswick Arts Council, Pender Arts Council, and Columbus County Arts to serve artists in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Bladen, and Columbus counties. Funding is provided by the North Carolina Arts Council and the Arts Council of Wilmington. 

Artists at any stage — emerging or established — are eligible to apply. Eligible disciplines include visual art and craft, traditional art forms, music, film or video production, literature and playwriting, and choreography and dance. Funding may go towards the creation of new work, purchase of equipment and materials or professional development workshops.
