WILMINGTON — A comedian best-known as Larry David’s roommate on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is coming to Wilmington this fall.
JB Smoove will perform Sept. 13, with tickets on sale for Wilson Center members on Feb. 28, followed by general public sales on Mar. 1.
Smoove — a.k.a. Jerry Angelo Brooks — started his career in the mid-’90s on Def Comedy Jam, wrote for “SNL” from 2003 to 2006 and has appeared dozens of films (“The Polka King,” “Spider-Man: No Way Home”), TV shows (“The Last O.G.,” “Fairfax,” “The Millers”) and voiced over video games (High on Life).
A North Carolinian, Smoove was born in Plymouth but raised in New York; he credits the Tar Heel State for his love of comedy. He is currently appearing as Leon in the final season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” which he has been on since 2007.
