FlowILM is postponed at the Cameron Art Museum, originally scheduled for Friday evening.

WILMINGTON — An Earth Day event at the Cameron Art Museum, scheduled for Friday, has been postponed.

A multimedia experience, FlowILM was intended to be held 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at CAM, 3201 S. 17th St. Due to inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for a later date.

Numerous artists, scientists, nonprofits and UNCW professors will come together to focus on local and global water issues. The event will include educational activities and live performances, featuring dance, sculpture, installation and light-and-sound work produced by the Coaction Lab at UNCW.

As FlowILM is postponed, CAM is offering another event in its place. From 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Solstice Cycles will perform. The event is free with admission to the museum.

Solstice Cycles is an experimental, collaborative Improv Project between Karola Luettringhaus with Alban Elved Dance Company and Carl Kruger with the Slow Ear Ensemble. The focus of the project is the contemplation and celebration of earthly phenomena, cycles, and seasons.

The audience is invited to sit and observe or move and create sound with the performers. This program supports CAM’s annual interdisciplinary understanding of earth and the environment through the arts.

A new date for FlowILM will be announced at a later date.
