WILMINGTON — A production that will begin rolling in Wilmington in two weeks is in need of extras and stand-in actors.

STARZ and Warner Bros. latest three-season series, “Untitled Josh and Lauren Project,” is being created by writer and producer Ava DuVernay (“Selma”), starring Lauren Ridloff (“The Walking Dead”) and Joshua Jackson (“Dawson’s Creek”). It will film in Wilmington from spring through the fall.

Ridloff and Jackson are executive producers but also will portray the lead love interests in the romantic drama. It follows “two polar opposites intertwined in a love affair that turns their worlds upside down,” according to a release from TW Cast and Recruit.

The talent agency is in need of paid extras of any gender and ethnicity, ages 18 and up; however, the script puts a heavy focus on deaf and hard-of-hearing characters. Talent specific to those communities are encouraged to apply.

Actors booked for the roles will be required to take a mandatory Covid-19 test on set the day they work; vaccination is not mandatory.

Extras can sign up here or follow TW Cast and Recruit here.

The group is also in need of stand-ins for its lead characters. These roles will be full-time and finalists may be asked to attend a meet-and-greet during the third week of March.

Stand-in applicants will need to have features matching the hair, complexion, height and measurements of each actor. Interested parties should go to TW’s website for photo references:

  • 1. Lily: African American or Hispanic female in her 30s. Height is 5 feet, two inches to 5 feet, 4 inches, with an extra small shirt and pants size 2 to 4.
  • 2. Jack: Caucasian male in his 30s, with height of 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches, medium to large shirt, with pants 30- to 34-inch waist.
  • 3. Bette: Caucasian woman, in her 50s or 60s, standing 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches, shirt size small to medium, with pants size 8 to 10.
  • 4. Rose: African American woman, ages 30s to 50s, standing 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches, with a large to extra large shirt and pants size 10 to 12.
  • 5. Anthony: Mixed ethnicity or Hispanic male, late 20s to early 40s; measurements TBA.

To submit for stand-in roles, actors must be local to Wilmington and should search for the characters under “Untitled Josh and Lauren Project” in TW Cast and Recruit’s database here.

Filming runs from late March through late August.
