WILMINGTON — The tradition continues.
Michael Franti and Spearhead pile up the positivity and lean on messages of peace and unity as they perform annually at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater.

In 2023, they’ll take the stage again on both Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16.
Known for tracks like “The Sound of Sunshine,” “Say Hey I Love You,” and “Good for a Good Day,” the outfit plays an amalgamation of hip-hop, funk, reggae, blues, and jazz. Shows are family friendly, with Franti often welcome kids onstage to sing with him.
Both concerts last summer at GFLA sold out. Franti also participated in an afternoon yoga session at the amphitheater last year on Saturday; he and the band played some acoustic songs during the class. No word on whether that’s to return this year.
Tickets open to the public Friday, Feb. 3, 10 a.m. Pre-sales are underway now for those with an access code.
