WILMINGTON — Big Something toured through Wilmington’s Greenfield Lake Amphitheater and played two nights during Halloween weekend, Oct. 28 and 29.
The rain may have arrived on night one, but it didn’t slow down the good time. Openers included local band Blue Footed Bobbies, followed by Lespecial, a trio out of Connecticut.
“Lespcial was a good choice for a Halloween weekend, bringing a heavier sound than I was expecting,” photographer Tom Dorgan said. The band teased with Tool and Rage Against the Machine interwoven into a few songs, Dorgan added
Big Something hit the stage, donning “Freaky Friday”-themed band costume. Throughout the night, the band members “traded places,” so to speak, such as drummer Ben Vinograd acting as bassist Doug Marshall, who took on saxophonist Casey Cranford and so forth.
The Burlington, N.C.-based band played through 26 songs during both nights’ sets. Friday’s setlist and photos are below.
