WILMINGTON — After several successful years of slinging Venezuelan food around the Wilmington area, the Arepa St. food truck is being sold.
In a post of Facebook, the owners made a bittersweet announcement: the family-run business is happily welcoming a fourth child, but this new arrival won’t leave enough time to run their food truck.
In a statement, the owners wrote:
The good news is that we, the owners of Arepa St. Food Truck, have just found out that we’re expecting our 4th child!!
The bad news is that we will not have any time to run the food truck business much longer.
We’re thinking about doing a farewell service sometime in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
The Wilmington crowd has been great to us and to our delicious Venezuelan food; our arepas found many friends here! So, thank you so very much to everyone that tried our arepas and to all of those that gave us the great reviews and recommendations that we have proudly achieved by serving our food to all of you.
The truck is officially for sale now and if someone decides tu buy it and keep the arepa concept we will certainly let everyone know.
Gracias Wilmington!!!!
While the owners announced they were considering a farewell service, the food truck is officially on the market. If you’re interested and have $40,000, you can find a listing on Craig’s List here.
