A venture of Chef Nikki Spears, the original owner of the since-franchised Nikki’s Sushi Bar, Sea Level City Gourmet’s menu featured only pescetarian, vegan, and vegetarian options.
It became a watering hole for local health-enthusiasts and foodies alike since opening in June 2013. Sea Level City Gourmet shared its specials Sunday on Facebook, but on Monday, a sign posted on its front door announced its permanent closure.
The restaurant is typically closed Mondays and Tuesdays. This spring, Sea Level City Gourmet reorganized its menu and removed the lentil burger — a fan favorite. It periodically brought the burger back on daily specials.
Sea Level City Gourmet is known for its carefully crafted local menu filled with creative dishes.
