LELAND — It’s been a long time coming. Ocean Gate Plaza is just one tenant shy of a full house, with Dunkin’, Bridgewater Wines and now, Hibachi Bistro, all open for business.
The new Leland shopping center, off Highway 17, has welcomed three new businesses in the last few months.

Bridgewater Wines, a family-owned, local business was the first to open in Ocean Gate Plaza. The specialty wine store opened the first week in November 2018.
Dunkin’ followed shortly after, opening mid-November. A “next generation” design, Dunkin’ features a drive-thru dedicated exclusively to mobile orders.
Finally, Hibachi Bistro will open its doors Friday. The Wilmington-based, fast-casual restaurant will open its third location in Leland.
According to Hank Adams, a Coldwell Banker Commercial listing agent, one spot still remains at Ocean Gate Plaza. What could have initially been divided into two, 1,500 sq. ft. units are being packaged into one larger location at the shopping center.
Because details are still being worked out, Adams could not disclose the new business looking to join Dunkin’, Bridgewater Wines and Hibachi Bistro at Ocean Gate Plaza.
