As the year draws to a close, we’ve received a host of emails, Facebook messages, phone calls, and the occasional hand-delivered letter from readers — these include questions, comments on (and, yes, criticism of) our coverage and ideas for investigative stories for the new year.
Topics included everything from mass transit to water quality, with readers frequently asking about development — and the relationship between elected and appointed officials and the real estate and development industry. There’s also the question of the undeveloped frontiers in north New Hanover County. There, the county’s new UDO (Unified Development Ordinances) will help shape what the future of the region will look like.
