WILMINGTON—After adding a cafe menu late last year, Tama Cafe is now serving alcohol, including a partnership with the Wrightsville Beach Brewery.

Tama Cafe opened in Wilmington in 2015. The cafe has since expanded to Chapel Hill and Raleigh. The Wilmington location has now started serving wine, beer, and mimosas.
Co-Founder Rocco Quaranto III said that Tama now has two Wrightsville Beach Brewery beers on tap that feature Tama teas.
“There’s one featuring Wrightsville Beach Brewery’s Mexican lager, that’s paired with our own Argentian chai,” Quaranto said. “The other actually is a matcha beer, that’s a pale ale.”
Beer drinkers should note, the matcha beer is made based on the Wrightsville Beach Brewery’s Signal Fire IPA, and has a definite note of spice.

But if beer isn’t your thing, the cafe is now also serving wine and a dozen different mimosas.
Quaranto said the cafe did a “soft launch” of the new drink menu earlier in the month.
Tama Cafe is located at 1127 Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington. You can find more information at Tama Cafe’s Facebook page.
