WILMINGTON — On the ninth floor of the Embassy Suites, the Cloud 9 Rooftop Bar is ready to open.
Cloud 9 officially opens to the public on Friday, March 16, at 4 p.m. Located on the Riverwalk in downtown Wilmington, Cloud 9 – initially called No. 9 – is the upstairs counterpart to the Steam restaurant, which opened earlier this year.
Sitting nine stories above the Riverwalk below, the bar features local beer, a bar menu and live music.
The bar is currently serving 22 beers on tap, including six Wilmington brews. The bar serves Wilmington-based Waterman’s Brewing, New Anthem, Edward Teach and Wilmington Brewing Company. It also features North Carolina-based Lonerider, Red Oak, Carolina Brewery, Tarboro Brewing Company, Double Barley Brewing and Noble Cider.
In addition to beer, the bar will also have cider, shandy and alcoholic Kombucha. You can find the full list here, including information on ABVs and prices.
The bar menu will feature local oysters and a variety of bar food (full menu below). For more information, including the latest beers on tap and the live music line up, visit Cloud 9’s Facebook Page.
Steam and Cloud 9 are both located in the Embassy Suites by Hilton Wilmington Riverfront, at 9 Estelle Lee Place along the Riverwalk. Cloud 9 will be open 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The rooftop bar has plans for Sunday brunch service later in the year.
