WILMINGTON—The “best cheeseburger in Robeson County” will soon be available to the southern coast.
The family-owned restaurant Tyson’s will soon open its third location – its first in Wilmington. Tyson’s already has two locations in Lumberton, where owner Justin Tyson says business is already “maxed out.”
Tyson arranged the Wilmington restaurant so as to fit a large line and anticipated lunch crowd, a lesson learned from operating restaurants in Lumberton.
In only a week and a half, the Tyson family has prepared the location to get up and running. “We went wide open on it,” Tyson said. The interior has been renovated to mirror the classic food it’s celebrated for.”
Best known for its fried chicken, hamburgers and Philly cheesesteaks, Tyson’s will bring all-American dishes to the midtown area.
The family is awaiting a green light from the New Hanover County Health Department and anticipates opening this week.
Tyson’s hours will be 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
