
WILMINGTON — Police are asking all drivers to avoid a stretch of South 3rd St. in Wilmington after an accident downed several power lines.
According to Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron, a single-vehicle accident on Thursday, March 1, brought down several power lines. The accident has rendered the block of South 3rd Street between Greenfield and Martin streets dangerous and impassible.
According to Dandron, repairs could take the rest of the day. Wilmington Police are asking drivers to avoid the area for the rest of their day.
