The craft beer market had a $2.42 billion dollar impact on the North Carolina economy in 2016. Since 2014, Wilmington brewers have been after a piece of that pie.

The craft beer market had a 2.42 billion dollar impact on the North Carolina economy in 2016, according to data gathered by the Brewer’s Association, a national non-profit organization. Since 2014, Wilmington brewers have been after a piece of that pie.

Over the course of a five-part series, we explored the possible saturation of craft breweries in the Cape Fear region, the convenience of smaller batch packaging, presence of supporting industries that encourage local participation and questioning what will happen when the craft beer honeymoon is over.
