NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Eight couples were selected to receive a free wedding this Valentine’s Day. For its second year, New Hanover County Register of Deeds office offered its free wedding program, “Love is in the Air.”
The program included a wedding officiant, photographer and a decorated room to help the lucky couples celebrate their new relationship.
Each couple had an hour of time reserved for the ceremony and to visit with friends and family. Nothing Bundt Cakes donated a cake for each couple and one was chosen for a free night’s stay at the Hampton Inn.
