SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — As the National Weather Forecast has extended warnings for icy weather through tomorrow morning, public schools will close for a second day.
According to the New Hanover County Schools, all schools “will be closed again on Thursday, January 4, 2018, for students and staff due to the winter storm anticipated for our area. Parents will be receiving a call with this announcement.”
“Due to the winter storm warning for Brunswick County and the associated mixed precipitation that has been projected, Brunswick County Schools will be closed for students and staff Thursday, Jan. 4. Notification will be sent out prior to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, regarding the operational status for Brunswick County Schools Friday, Jan.5,” according to Brunswick County Schools.
