Evelyn Brown Hall, 76, of Navassa died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at New Hanover House Assisted Living in Wilmington.
Mrs. Hall was born Sept. 18, 1938. She joined Hoopers’ Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the Senior Choir and numerous other church auxiliaries until her health failed.
Whatever tasks she performed were done to perfection. She loved to bake and made the best-tasting tea. She was employed in the dry cleaning industry for over 35 years. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her loving husband of 60 years, Willie J. Hall, Sr.; four sons, Willie J. Hall Jr. (Sherry) of Leland, Horace L. Hall (Sabrina) of Leland, Michael A. Hall (Monica) of Baltimore, Maryland and Wayne Hall (Ginger) of Charlotte; one daughter, Beverly Hall Branch (William) of Leland; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one sister, Nettie Cobbs of Wilmington; four sisters-in-law, Lossie Bryant, Hattie Mosley, Maxine Grady (John) and Irene Everett (Robert); four brothers-in-law, Marvin Hall, William Hall, Joseph Hall (Sondra) and Wilbert Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and special friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 12 at Hoopers’ Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Leland, with burial in the Calvary Memorial Cemetery.
